Built for people who screenshot things all day.
The OCR engine runs entirely in your browser. Your screenshots are never uploaded to any server. No tracking, no data collection, no creepy stuff.
Buy credits once. Use them whenever. Credits never expire. No "free trial" that quietly bills you, no monthly fee for a tool you use in bursts.
No upload wait, no queue, no API rate limit. Drop a screenshot and get text in about 2 seconds — usually faster than the time it takes to retype one line.
Three steps. No accounts. No installs.
Screenshots, photos, even handwritten notes. Works with anything you can save as an image.
OCR runs in your browser using an open-source engine. No upload, no server processing.
Clean, copyable text in about 2 seconds. One click sends it to your clipboard.
Pay once. Credits never expire. Refund anytime within 7 days.
Your images never leave your device. SnapCopy uses an open-source OCR engine (tesseract.js) that runs entirely inside your web browser. We don't have servers that process images. There's literally nothing for us to leak, sell, or mishandle — we never see your screenshots.
Payments are handled by Stripe — the same company that processes payments for Amazon, Shopify, and basically every other site you buy from. Your card details never touch our servers; they go directly to Stripe. You'll see "Stripe" on your bank statement next to the SnapCopy charge.
If you're not happy within 7 days of purchase, email support@snapcopy.app and we'll refund you — no questions, no forms. We'd rather give you your $0.99 back than have you tell someone we're shady.
Yes. Use them this week, next year, whenever. There's no monthly reset, no expiration, no "use it or lose it." We hate subscriptions too.
One founder. SnapCopy is a small indie tool built because the founder kept wasting 20 minutes a day retyping promo codes and quotes from screenshots. The OCR engine is open-source; SnapCopy is the simple, paid-once wrapper around it.
The first 10 extractions are free, no signup. After that, $0.99 buys 100. Charging a small fee keeps the tool ad-free, sustainable, and means you're the customer — not the product.
English by default. Multi-language packs (Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, and more) work on paid plans — they download to your browser the first time you use them.
OCR has limits — very small text, low-contrast images, or extremely stylized fonts can be tricky. If something doesn't extract right, no credit is spent for empty results, and you can email us the image (with your permission) so we can improve future versions.
I built SnapCopy because I screenshot things all day and got tired of retyping them. I'm one person, working in the open, charging less than a coffee. If you have feedback, just hit reply on the receipt — I read every email.
